The Designer Rivky Rotenberg (Slater)
From fancy fashion sketches in Rivky Slater’s notebooks, to the brand for flattering clothing, Rivyon.
I made Aliya from USA to Israel with my family when I was 3 years old. Art, harmony, color, and design have always been my passions. As a child I loved to draw, and my friends remember how they used to flip thorough my school notebooks to see my sketches of little girls in Prom dresses…For 30 years I worked as a graphic designer (Rivyon Studio) while studying styling and fashion online, giving styling advice to friends before events and wishing to get into the field professionally.
Throughout the years, I couldn't ignore the frustration I felt while browsing clothing stores. The lack of inclusive sizing, ill-fitting designs, and the harmful impact of fast fashion drove me to want to make a difference. In 2020, I finally found the perfect Fashion Design course and started an exciting new chapter in my life. I loved every minute of sketching, creating and innovating again. After finishing that course I created a styling workshop called “Always look your Best” where I met women like me at all stages of life, not always happy with the way they look because they can’t find clothing that fits their body shape and makes them look nice. I wish to change that!
So I started working on my Brand called Rivyon Fashion! While I have so many ideas and designs, I'm taking the first steps by launching a collection of shirts filling a niche for comfortable and flattering everyday clothing for women of all body shapes. I wish to expand into designing dresses and skirts in the near future.
Every design I create is meticulously crafted, with careful consideration for diverse body shapes and different life stages. I strongly believe that as women, we have a significant role to fulfill, and to reach our full potential, we must exude confidence and happiness, irrespective of any weight fluctuations.
I care about the environment according to the Torah and therefore produce in limited quantities, collaborating with small official factories in Israel. The fabrics I purchase from Tel Aviv's finest stores, are predominantly natural, such as cotton, with the hint of Lycra for enhanced fit and comfort.
I would love to hear your feedback and ideas! I invite you to join me on this exhilarating fashion journey Together, we can make a positive impact!.
